Rally Lands $20M For Agile Application Lifecycle Management Platform
Rally Software, a specialist in Agile application lifecycle management (ALM) solutions, this morning announced that it has raised $20 million in funding led by Meritech Capital Partners (an investor in companies like Facebook, NetSuite and Salesforce.com).
The funding will be used for growth and to accelerate adoption of Rally’s platform for Agile development.
The company says its products, including AgileZen, currently support more than 9,700 corporate customers and 112,000 users in over 100 countries.
Rally Software previously raised over $50 million in multiple rounds, from investors like Mobius Venture Capital, Boulder Ventures, Mohr Davidow Ventures and Greylock Partners.
Competitors include Out Systems, CollabNet, ThoughtWorks, Endeavour and Digité.
$20 million … wow. I wrote a OSS agile project management system called ::mound:: late last year that I work on from time to time. If I had known I could get that kind of dough I would have second-guessed making it GPL code.
