Seculert, a young startup building cloud-based software that comprehensively detects cyber threats affecting corporate networks, this morning announced that it has raised funding from YL Ventures.

The size of the round was not disclosed, but I’m told it concerns a “very significant 7-digit USD figure”.

Seculert’s flagship product, dubbed Cyber Threat Management, is a subscription-based SaaS offering for enterprises, governments and service providers. It essentially provides organizations with early detection of global cybercrime activity that may pose threats to their network (e.g. malware), together with information related to the affected network domains.

Since the software operates outside of the corporate network, it doesn’t require any changes to existing network settings and doesn’t affect its performance as such.

Seculert was founded by computer security veterans Ron Kraitsman, Alex Milstein, Aviv Raff and Dudi Matot.
